Pete Johnson

Pete Johnson has been a pioneer in the field of Artificial Intelligence for more than four decades.  After completing his MS at Yale University in Computer Science, Pete was recruited by Roger Schank, Professor of Computer Science at Yale and Director of the Yale Artificial Intelligence Project to join his new firm Cognitive Systems, an early leader in AI.  Pete went on to join BNY Mellon as Chief Technology Officer, where he led their machine learning initiatives.  Most recently, Pete held a variety of roles at MetLife, including serving as their first Chief Data Officer, and as a MetLife Fellow, where he established MetLife’s global AI strategy.  He has served as technology advisor to the Boston Red Sox, and as an advisor to IBM’s Deep Computing Institute and at Carnegie-Mellon.  Pete currently serves as a Senior Advisor with McKinsey
