John Bottega

John Bottega has been a leader in establishing the Chief Data Officer role as the first person in the financial services industry to hold this title. John has served as Chief Data Officer for Bank of America (2011-2013), the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (2009-2011), and CitiGroup (2006-2009). John previously held senior executive positions, with responsibility for data management functions, at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers. He is currently chairman of the Board of Directors of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Council, the industry association focused on financial services industry data management. John holds a BS in Computer Science from St. John’s University.
