George Overholser

George Overholser currently serves as Vice Chancellor at Northeastern University.  George was previously a senior member of Capital One’s founding management team, where he headed up strategy and oversaw the launch of 20 new businesses. In 1999, he formed North Hill Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage financial and marketing technology firms, including Vistaprint which grew annual revenues from $10 million to almost $2 billion during his tenure as a Board Director.  As a founder of NFF Capital Partners and Third Sector Capital Partners, George has helped secure over $300 million of philanthropic growth capital.  His work has led to hundreds of millions of dollars of innovative social sector financing tied to the achievement of proven social outcomes.   George holds a BS in Physics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University.
